and here’s the info below the cut:
On 3 March 2010, elections will be held for the Amsterdam City and District Councils. In this round of municipal elections, the city’s residents will be voting for council representatives for the new consolidated stadsdelen (districts).
As a Non-Dutch national, permanently residented in Amsterdam, you are also eligible to vote. To inform you about the plans of the political parties with your city of Amsterdam, we invite you to a political debate at Amsterdam Bright City.
The debate will be initiated by a movie in which the Non-Dutch residents reflect on living in the Netherlands in general and in Amsterdam in particular.
The debate will be broadcasted live by English Breakfast Radio and Amsterdam FM in their extra edition, Casual Friday, at Amsterdam Bright City.
The debating politicians are:
- CDA: Lex van Drooge
D66: Sebastiaan Capel
Groenlinks: Marco de Goede
SP: Peter Kwint
PvdA: Michiel Mulder
VVD: Frank van Dalen
After the debate we celebrate the launch of the first English-spoken live afternoon radio show from the stage of Amsterdam Bright City.
Do you want to know what the political parties are going to do on the issues of housing, education and bureaucracy?
Or do you simply want to relax, have a drink, enjoy the music and other acts during the launch? In both cases you are very welcome to join us on Friday, 26th of February.
Participation is free of charge, reservation is required by pressing the ‘reserveren’ button.
