hi there!
matt and i are back in maastricht. i swear it’s colder here than minnesota was the past week. we’ve been sleeping like crazy. way more than jet lag can account for. maybe we partied too much those past couple of days in minnesota. or maybe we’re just a tiny bit sick and our bodies are trying to get better before it gets worse. or maybe just a combination of both.
it sounds like most of the people who have any intention of coming to visit europe have decided to come this spring and summer, so matt and i have to save up our money. with so many visitors, we’ll be doing a lot of travelling around with them. i may need to take on more students. also to (finally) bring over my beautiful motorcycle, which is still in matt’s dad’s garage in minnesota, but will soon be legally ship-able. yay!
anyway, i suppose my life will be pretty uninteresting for the next while as i try to save money and thus don’t do much. except for go to turkey in a couple of weeks. but that was paid for months ago.
now i’m going to (yay! for the first time in months!) read some of other peoples’ posts!!!

Ye gods, I never did get back a hold of you while you were in the states. Short attention span, dontcha know. Remind me later and I’ll tell you the whole story–it’s kind of funny.
the whole story?? heh. i can’t wait. just so you know, you are not the only one who said they want to come over here. are you definitely planning to, or was that just a crazy drunken middle-of-the-night thing?
anyway, no worries on not getting back to me, although i did wonder what had happened to you. i got busy, or i could just as easily have called you too. so i’m a dork.
Drunken nonsense? Legitimate plan? Who can tell the difference?
The whole story is probably best left to e-mail to protect the innocent. I’ll get to it before too long, I hope.

Anyway, it was a shame to not have been able to hook up with you and Matt this visit, but such is that way of things. I guess I’ll just have to be happy with the short chat on the phone.

Are you going to Turkey for the eclipse, or just because?
ooooo! i didn’t know there would be an eclipse. can you tell me where i can find more info? i will be there the 17th to the 24th.
naw, my friend annemette and i just decided to go relax in a silly beach hotel for a week. we got a great rate for all-inclusive. we plan on relaxing, exercising, eating, relaxing, repeat… i’m actually looking forward to it, since all the travelling matt and i have been doing recently has been really active. this is a sit in the hot tub sort of holiday.
The eclipse is in March.
